Riding at Garapine
Garapine is home to competition grade Enduro mountain bike (MTB) trails.
As we hold other events at Garapine, we are not open anytime for riding. To ride at Garapine, simply contact us to book in a day or check our Facebook page for upcoming scheduled ride days. If you are interested in holding a bike event or bike weekend at Garapine, please contact us to discuss.
For casual riding, there is a ride fee of $10 per rider (per day). All riders must sign-in on arrival. Parking is along the right-hand side of the driveway, on the grass, before the roundabout. All riders MUST have current MTBA membership (no exceptions). Bring a copy of your membership number and expiry date with you for sign-in.
Ride Day Shuttle Service
Garapine offers shuttle services for riders wanting an uplift back to the trail head. On scheduled ride days, our shuttle service is open to any riders that purchase a shuttle pass.
Private Shuttle Service
Riding at Garapine is also available on non-scheduled ride days however bookings are required. When taking up this option, our private shuttle service can be booked in advance.
Upcoming Ride Days
Garapine hosts regular ride days open to all MTB riders. All riders must have current MTBA membership and bring their membership details for sign-in on arrival. There is a ride fee of $10 per rider (cash or eftpos) unless otherwise stated. Bookings are not essential, but if you can RSVP to our Facebook event it would be helpful. If you have any questions regarding Ride Days, please feel free to contact us.
Next Ride Day:
In 2017, Garapine will host two rounds of the 2017 Shimano Enduro Series.
Round 1: 26 February 2017
Championship: 29 October 2017
VISIT our Enduro webpage for details about practice ride days and on-site accommodation for race weekend.
For more information about the Series and to Register for the race, visit www.emsaustralia.net.au. Entries open in January 2017.
The accommodation facilities are a bit like staying at a backpackers (or going on school camp) with shared bunk-rooms and shared bathrooms. There are a total of 12 bunk rooms, each with their own bathroom featuring 2 showers and a separate toilet. Each bunk room sleeps up to 10 people. Bunk rooms have a mix of single size bunk beds and single beds. Unfortunately there is no camping available at Garapine as we currently don’t have facilities for it.
If you are interested in bringing a group to ride at Garapine and would like to stay, please contact us.

Group Hire / Events
Garapine is available for MTB club events, competition days, skills camps or social group hire. In 2016 Garapine hosted the SRAM Enduro Series and Wide Bay XCEN Series.
Get your club together and host a social weekend, competition or fun day. With onsite facilities including toilets, showers, catering, group accommodation, an indoor hall and an outdoor covered area, groups can ride all day and stay overnight. Bookings are essential.
Set high on a hill, with amazing views at the top, and the Mary River at the bottom, Garapine has varied terrain ideal for mountain biking. Located 15 minutes south of Gympie, just off the highway, and 40 minutes from the Sunshine Coast, Garapine is quick and easy to reach, with two-wheel drive access to the trail head, and four-wheel drive access between the top and bottom of the hill.
Contact us to organise an event for your group or club.
